Seabear - We Built A Fire

After successfully publishing her debut solo in late 2008, it appears that Sindri Már Sigfusson was returning to the project, although he had started himself alone, as of today is a band of seven members. With the reinstatement of Sindri early last year, Seabear was devoted to the composition and premieres of 2010 was to his second point, which is entitled We Built A Fire . And although the new opera Icelandic consolidated group will be published next month via Morr Music , it is clear that, as is customary, and can be accessed.
along The second is his Seabear first work entirely orchestrated by a band, since both the songwriting and composition, was the work of its seven members. Thus, now it is appraised as if it were a campfire around which they have brought together all the artists work they do to the group, although not think this is because the flavor so typical lo-fi Sindri that had printed on his debut Seabear is lost. And is that while the band has drawn some notoriety, it is true that continues to maintain the humility of its inception, as its components recorded We Built A Fire entirely in a basement and then concocted in their own hands the album art and videos, plus the subsequent charge of promotion.
In strictly musical terms, it is clear that the vein of Seabear folktrónica remains pervasive as before, especially in tracks like delicious Lion Face Boy , Wooden Teeth and Eyes In Winters. Moreover, there is also room to expand the horizons facing other records, the rock in pieces like Fire Dies Down, 'll Build You A Fire , Softship and Wolfboy , or ballad topics Cold Summer, Leafmask , We Fell Of The Roof and Warm Blood . In paragraph vocal voice Sindri continues to shine, as always, despite its particular inflection, but on this particular fire the other participants join in a chorus, most of the choruses in store sometimes sensational and, of course totally catchy.
no doubt that this new album is worth it to escalate Seabear so important that even it could be put up with other groups such as Sigur Rós, Múm , Fredrik or The Album Leaf of so that more should not lose tread ...

Well ... appear and disappear again with this small contribution. As always, I will not say much in the description. I can only say that they enjoy it and judge you. See ya =)

Fredrik - Trilogi

Last year we tasted the debut album of Swedish band Fredrik , so now, in view of these artists have not given up on her own, touched Time to appreciate the benefits of his second: Trilogi .
For my part, had already announced that the Swedish label Jezebel Recordings was publishing a Fredrik EPS, although by then I knew that those would have to conform Trilogi . It is therefore clear that this is a concept album that resulted from the combination of three EPS in order of release were entitled respectively Holm, Ava and Ner, or its interpretation in English, Frozen island forest, Water -through sound and The inside underground.
regard to Trilogi carved prints , critics saw Fredrik members delving on certain theories that the American writer Howard Philips Lovecraft had developed through their work. This subjective review by the Swedes has weathered significant changes in artistic impression, but depending on the nature of the points, they moved back to his music more melancholy than usual, so much so that the psychedelia and joy were evident before it, has hardly anything left. And that is addressing issues such as the massive onslaught that would produce the man to be able to join all the knowledge that they are scattered in the brain * not expect anything less than finding the music completely dejected Fredrik ...
In relation to what goes on strictly musical grounds that, unlike the material offered in Na Na Ni , the proposed Trilogi makes no attempt to code-oriented indie rock show, but that plan unfolds entirely in folk. But the modus operandi of the group remains the same as always, so that the heavy load is still the preferred instrument over any electronic intervention is possible to find, and equally, the members of such operatic continue to give accounts of infinite subtlety and good odds of emotional baggage. And is that the inflection condolences adopting the main voice perfectly agrees with those melodies that blunt surly interwoven among the lush instrumentals, of which only emerge languid sonic textures that tricky, however, are not opposed to what is, in essence, strictly beautiful ... In short, you could say that the contrast lies between Na Na Ni and Trilogi is revealed only to the senses, because what previously could entice bright and full of optimism , we can see now full of darkness and mysticism ...

* No greater fortune in the world, I think, that the inability of the human mind to correlate all that is therein. We live on a placid island of ignorance, surrounded by the black seas of infinity, and it is our destiny to undertake long journeys. Science, who follow their own paths, have not caused much damage so far, but one day the union of these dissociated knowledge will open up to reality, and the weak position which she occupies, so terrible a mad perspective by the revelation, or flee from the deadly light, taking refuge in the security and peace of a new age of darkness. (Howard Phillips Lovecraft - The Call of Cthulhu - 1926)
